Barbie Girl
“Barbie Girl” is a song in the bubblegum pop genre by the Danish-Norwegian dance-pop group Aqua, who released it in 1997 as their third single overall, and the first United Kingdom release. The song is included on the album Aquarium and was written by Claus Norreen and Søren Nystrøm Rasted after the group saw an exhibit on kitsch culture. The song topped the charts worldwide, particularly in European countries such as the UK, where it was a number-one hit for three weeks; it was also on top of the charts in Australia for the same length of time, and debuted and peaked at No. 7 on the U.S. Billboard Hot 100 on 6 September 1997 and It remains Aqua’s biggest hit single in the USA to date, and their only one to reach the Top 20 of the Billboard Hot 100.

KaBlam!
KaBlam! (branded as KaBLaM! in the logo) is an American animated television series that ran on Nickelodeon from 1996 to 2000. It features a collection of short films in several different styles of animation (including Action League Now as shown above), bridged by the characters Henry and June, who introduce the shorts and have adventures of their own in between. Although SNICK aired many Nicktoons not part of its block, KaBlam! was the only Nicktoon created for SNICK. The show became TV-Y in 1997 (when the ratings were put to use), until later that year, in which it was changed to TV-Y7.

Highlights
Highlights for Children (referred as simply Highlights) is an American children’s magazine. It began publication in June 1946, started by Garry Cleveland Myers and his wife Caroline Clark Myers in Honesdale, Pennsylvania (the present location of its editorial office). They both worked for another children’s magazine, Children’s Activities, for 12 years before leaving to startHighlights. The company is presently based in Columbus, Ohio, and owns book publishers Zaner-Bloser and Boyds Mills Press. Highlights has surpassed a billion copies in print.
