Apparently this was used for laser tag games during the 80′s. Can anyone elaborate?

Photon was a generic laser tag game. I had one (actually two thank god) I got for christmas around ’84. the sensor was in the gun and if you got hit three times your gun stopped working. it also came with a target that could only get hit when the light turned green or red i forget which. not bad but a knock off of the official laser tag that came out about the same time.
Photon was the precursor to Lazer Tag. We had one in Aurora, Colorado. You paid a fee, went through a “basic training” for the weapons used (laser pistol and laser rifle if I remember), and you were put on teams. Usually 5 per team and your were given a time limit of 10 minutes to shoot as many opposing team members as you could or attack their base. 3 shots to the base left the opposing members without laser power for a short time (15-30 seconds). Our Photon was opened in 1985 and closed in 1987 or so.
