  1. Aw, come on. Show some respect! Show the original 6-switcher! I still have mine and still play it today.

  3. I think the original was the one pictured with the difficulty switches on the back.

  5. OK, let’s do it RIGHT….
Show the ORIGINAL Sears Telegames Video Computer System with the 6 switches.

  7. Sorry, nano. The one pictured is not an original Atari. The original had the six switches on the front. Trust me on this.

  9. D’oh! I looked it up on Wikipedia. I guess it’s just that the front difficulty switches would seem like an improvement, and thus be on a later model.

I remember my parents being stupid about not using the difficulty switches. The only game I switched to hard for was Asteroids so I could get the 2 UFOs like on the arcade version.

  11. Our parents got a set of aftermarket joysticks that are heavy-duty, and had the “fire” button on the top of the actual stick along with it in the “standard” position. I forget if there was a little switch to pick which to use.

I have a bunch of games and could tell stories about all of them.

  13. The BEST game on the 2600 was KABOOM!
